I would like to propose that we form a drill committee to look at sites, put together a schedule and what we will teach that weekend.

Would the people who have so far responded be willing to join me on this committee? (I know we have the steering committee but this can and will get more voices heard in the ONV)

Seeing that lovely village green at Boonefield, which would be a perfect drill field, made me wonder if there has been any movement on this topic.

One thought I had - since Into the Piney Woods is in March, I wonder if we should hold something mid-February to shake off the rust. The advantage of a place like Boonefield is that we could quarter guys in buildings (with a hearth, that is) to keep it from getting too cold at night.

Just curious to know if anyone has had any thoughts on the topic.
