Hello folks,

Just a reminder about all the great events we have coming up during this year. A lot of hard work has gone into planning these events, and they cover variety of impressions and geographic locations. There is also variety in the style of events they will be.

All of the events have websites (that Dave F. was nice enough to link on the top of the main page through all those cool images that cycle by). If you haven't at least checked out the websites, take a moment to do so, they're all very informative and well put together.

June 11-13, Disaffected In Canada at Ft. Wayne, Detroit, MI
WEBSITE: sallyportmess.itgo.com/disaffected.html

July 16-18, The Fight For Crampton's Gap at Blanchardsville, WI
WEBSITE: oldnorthwestvols.org/cramptons_gap/index.php

August 6-8, 1st Iowa Living History at Wilson's Creek National Battlefield
WEBSITE: oldnorthwestvols.org/wilsonscreek/

October 8-10, 21st Wisconsin Living History at Perryville Battlefield State Historic Site
WEBSITE: oldnorthwestvols.org/perryville/

There are also some other smaller events in the works as well, such as the entrenching/CS sharpshooter event at Sugar Bush on June 25-27.

Long and short of my message here? Check out the websites if you haven't (heck, check them out again even if you have!). If you want to go to any of these fine efforts and you haven't registered, get registered to help the event planners plan the plans they've been planning.

Thanks,

I am very excited about this list of events.
1. Disaffected in Canada needs more men. Jefferson and I are going to drive the 8 1/2 hour drive for this one and we cannot wait. Good time with good friends. Plus, the Tigers are playing at 1:00 on Sunday. Jeremy told me that we would be done around 11-12 on Sunday. Who is up to going to a game? Beautiful park!!!

2. Crampton's Gap I don't have to say anything. Nice easy drive of three hours.
Plus, I get to stock up on Spotted Cow!!!!!

3. Wilson's Creek Actual battlefield, no registration fee, rations and ammo provided. Get those regsitrations in! We are up to 25.

4. Perryville No Iowa game that weekend gives us a good reason to portray a bunch of Badgers. This will be great.

We need to show that we can muster 40-50 men to any event that ONV goes to.

Below is a link to some new site photos I took yesterday. Please take a look at where you will or could be staying for this event. You will be looking out some of the same glass windows, walking on the same floors, using the same stairs, touching the same doors and sleeping in the same place as the real men did. Plus much more history took place on these grounds in WWII.

I will be on site all day that Friday, June 11th. I would love to give a tour or two of the grounds and history of the place before the event starts.

Registration will be extended for ONE MORE WEEK. It will now close on May 17th. Thank you to all those that registered. Remember $5 of your fee goes back to the Fort. We would love to have a few more of our comrades with us. I know Holler, Tom Klas and Rod would all agree.

Hi gents,

Last chance to be part of a unique experince. Let support our comrades in Michigan whom will be traveling here in July for Crampton's Gap. If you need a ride from Wisconsin, just let some of us know. I am sure we can make room for any ONV member!

Thanks pards and I look forward to portraying the 30th Michigan with you all.
