Just a reminder to get your registrations in for the LBL event in March. It will be one of the first events of the year and the LBL area is one of the most pristine places where a tactical like event can be held. This event truly will be one to remember for 2010. If you want to be involved in a late war Federal company that is run in a military manner please join Sgt. Leicty and myself in Company B. Alright guys

Chris Irelan better known to us a "Jasper" has aggreed to serve as Lt. for company B. and he will do an outstanding job. With Jasper and Joe Liecty running the Platoons I won't have much to do.


We are just a few weeks until the end of Registration for the Backwater event in March. Please try to get your registrations in as soon as possible. I understand that Christmas is a hectic time for all of us but the organizers, including myself, need to know who is coming.

I know that some of you look outside and do not think of reenacting right now with 10 inches of snow headed my way on Thursday. But when we hit 50 to 60 degrees in March, have a beautiful sky above us, wood smoke all around us and we are chasing Trip Corbin riding in his wagon all the way back to Jorga it will be well worth it.

And Lastly, an individual in the ONV has donated some money to anybody who would like to attend the LBL event but can not afford the registration or gas exp. If you would like to attend but money is a little tight please let me know. It will be kept confidential and I will do EVERYTHING I can to get you to that event.

I hope this message finds you well and you are enjoying the New Year.

Brian Hicks has extended the deadline for registration to 31 January. As someone who has attended several events at the Land Between the Lakes over the years, I can tell you that some of my best memories from the hobby were created marching through the woods and hills that are there - these events are a good time. The people putting this one on are top notch, and obviously you know you are in good hands under the leadership of Skip Owens and Jason Reinholz. Let's fill that roster.

If the registration fee is an issue let us know. If transportation is an issue, let us know. I'm sure more than one carpool will be organized to get guys to this gig!

What you boys don't know is that the Lt. and myself will be issuing pies during the event. One pie in the Knapsack and one in the haversack. Everybody that is except for Schuuummmaaaannn. He gets a blackbird pie but only if he can recongize the call.

Please get those registrations in. If you need any financial assistance to go to this event it is avaiable. Members have already used it, so do not feel like you would be the only one. I want EVERBODY who can make it to go. After last year I need to have some fun with you boys to enjoy what little sanity I have left. If you have any questions plesae do not hesitate to ask.

Poague will be traveling with us (myself and Dan Barker)
but he has pledged body and soul to the wrong Cause, so
I will take any pie that would have been issued to him.
Unless it is Chokecherry pie, in which case you can still
put it in his haversack - be sure to tamp it down good.

We have just about a week left until registration ends. Lets get those registrations in for this awesome event. If you can not afford the Reg fee or travel expsenses right now please give me a ring and we can work out something.

This will be the only large scale "in the field" event for the year and it's only a few hours away. I you attend this event I promise that you will not regret it. If you register now I will double the Pie and Lemon powder offer of your officers, jasper and myself. Not only one serving of Pie and lemon drink but 2, yes count them 2 servings for your knapsacks.

Get them in boys, Company B need YOU. (Don't make a big nose beg)
