Echoes of the Past 1 Year, 11 Months ago

Hey all,
Just a reminder, Echoes of the Past is in Oshkosh, at the Sunnyview
Expo Center, next Sat. and Sunday, near Oshkosh (Winnebago County
Fairgrounds, just outside of town.)
Hours: Sat. 9-5 Jan. 27
Sun. 9-3 Jan. 28
Some have been here before ~ there is a small living history area,
from French and Indian Wars up to Civil War, the main area is sutlers,
with an emphasis on trapper/trader stuff, but there are items of interest
to us as well (pipes, fabric, and such, plus Turkey Foot Trading Co. is
always in attendance ~ they have great period hemp rope and twine, dried
edibles and twists of tob. in two sizes!)
An open invitation if you wish to attend on Sunday -
Meet at my house at 11AM ~ I have a reservation at the Roxy, we will have
a meal and then we will go buy some Stuff! Any who need directions contact me.
See you then.
yer comrade and messmate, Jim Schumann

The trade fair was a good time. Saw loads of people that I have not seen in years. Talked with Jim Schumann for a good hour or two. I also saw Jim Mallian. I met my Dad and Brother in law there, thats why I went today instead of Sunday. You boys have fun tomorrow. Check out Turkey Foot, they have some really nice stuff.

It was great to see Karl, Terry and Nancy(hope she got her dress
finished in time for the dance!), Steve, Dan M., Dan B., Brian,
Andy and Jason for Echoes ~ we sampled a little bear meat at my
house before we went to the restaurant. Andy said it best when
he said if he had not been told he would have thought it was a
beef roast - slight difference only, subtle taste difference.
I like the taste of bear!
See all soon at LBL or Galena.

Jim Schumann
