I enjoyed Pickett's Mill very much and have a lot of good memories. It was enjoyable to work together with all ONV pards. But I really want to say thanks to Steve Acker. I know Steve spent a lot of time working with Tripp Corbin and others to put this together. I appreciate Steve's efforts, and again it was worthwhile to make the trip..

Dan,

I can't agree with you enough. This was an outstanding event! It was well planned and well executed. It was the most realistic event I have participated in to date. Thanks to Steve for working so hard as the federal commander to ensure that we had a good time and a realistic experience. I will treasure my memories of this event for a lifetime.

The Pioneers and Critters added another level of realism to this event. Those ONV members who attend with these groups did an outstanding job. Especially the half naked men of the Pioneer platoon that charged the Rebs as they tried to flank us on Saturday night. It was a sight to behold!

Also, thank you to those of you in Company E who gladly did you duty, even when I asked you to reinforce our breastworks "one more time." Your dedication to your duty made my job easier. And thank you Terry for believing that I could handle stepping up to the Orderly Sergeant position on short notice. It was a very rewarding opportunity!

I remain,

I would have to agree with Scott. The ONV definatly had a good showing of our versitility as a group, from Company E, to Pioneers, to cavalry/artillery, we did them all.

Had a great time!

Pickett's Mill was a blast and gave me the opportunity to have a very unique experience in the Pioneer company. Everybody there made the event that much better, especially the ONV Boys!!!...that is everybody except that little fife boy, right Corprol Reinholz?..haha

Thank you to everyone who had a part in planning it.
