To all that attended the weekend Living History in Galena I would like to extend my personal Thanks. The town had a triathalon until 1:00 on Saturday so spectator participation was steady but not heavy. After 2:00 though it picked up and we were able to educate a great number of folks on the time period.
Impressions were stellar and your ability to relate to the public was outstanding.
I would also like to thank Frank Aufmuth, Silvana Sidalli, Anna and Kattie Allen, Mary Gutzke, Jamie Eaton, Mary Warren, Samuel and Megan (Nutmeg) Aufmuth, and my own Nancy Troxel, for being the icing on the cake.
Soldiers and Civilians were public friendly, diverse, and spot on impression wise.
Saturday night we had a wonderful supper of corned beef, vegetables, and sweets and breads brought by the lovely ladies.
Thanks also to Karl Pasch for not only cooking but "wanting" to cook for everyone for dinner on Saturday.
Frank regaled us Saturday night with a one man minstral show, with our own Jim Schumann and Andy Ackerett accompanying him. The show was great. And from what Terry Miller told me from the Grant home, we pulled many folks for the home.
Thanks Again

My fiance Jami and I really enjoyed the event this past week-end. We had just finished finals and were looking for a relaxing week-end and we got it! Thank you Terry for organizing the event, we had a blast!

Thank you to my rebel pards of the 15th TN that were there this past week-end. I'm glad I finally got to use my flintlock and explain the piece to the public. Steve, the rations were good and filling. I loved the beef and cabbage. The meal Saturday night was outstanding as well. Thank you Karl for cooking.

See y'all at Vicksburg!
