For those of you who have an interest in all things Johnny, there is a good discussion taking place on the Authentic Campaigner website dealing with the import of English goods. A large collection of original documents has been found showing what was being purchased by the Confederacy, and when sent. It looks to be a significant find and could really shed some light on how much the Confederacy was importing from England at the beginning of the war.
