Since I ceased being an Approved Vendor on the AC and can't advertise new items there, I am sending out this e-mail on behalf of Ted Quednau. He has been weaving coverlets out of his home for some time now and would like to offer them out for sale. These are 100% hand woven 2 panel coverlets of correct dimensions and weight. They do not lay like a lot of reproductions do, but drape very nicely as the originals did/do. He will weave one for you to order and we were talking today about even putting dates in the blankets like some originals that you see. He has hundreds of patterns to choose from.
The price is $400.00, which may sound steep, but those of you who know the quality of Ted's work over the years will know that it is worth every penny. Especially to have a coverlet that you don't have to be afraid to get dirty, or that it will fall apart on you.
If you can't afford $400.00 up front, $125.00 will secure you a coverlet. He will order your materials and get started and you can pay the balance upon completion, or make "payments".
