Hi Guys;
I am about to start making cartridges again and I have a couple of questions. Some of the guys have been asking about 0.69 cal. cartridges. What type do you desire? Ball, minie ball, buck and ball, buckshot, or all of the above? Also, is there any interest in me re-creating the 0.577 cal. Enfield pattern waxed cartridge? In addition to the 0.58 cal. that I make, these would be fun to see at events. Let me know what you think!

I have not seen the Enfield waxed cartridge. If nothing else it would be interesting to see your reproduction

The photo is of an original. I have not attempted to reproduce yet, just seeing if there is any interest. These would be neat to have for show, but I have some apprehension about firing these, since a small wad of bees wax would be expelled out the barrel.

I have around 40 reproduction Enfield cartridges with wax on the end that I received from the Stonewall Brigade this past September. As far as firing them, there seems to be no concern. I have probably fired off at least ten thus far.

No idea yet Dan. I am not sure how much work is going to be involved. I will let everyone know once I make a few.
