Gents,

Will Eichler and I would like to invite you to a living history on the Antietam battlefield on October 23-24. This will be along with the Black Hat Battalion but we will be our own company. A great time full of education and history was had last yeat at the Gettysburg LH put togather by Tom Klas and we are hoping to have that once again. We are looking to put on a quality living history for the public and ourselves. We will be portraying the 6th Wisconsin Company I. Company I was the company deployed as skirmishers as the battalion advanced into the cornfield on September 17th. Where: Antietam Battlefield near the Dunkard Church
When: Ocober 23-24, 2010
Who: 6th Wisconsin, Company I
Food: Rations will be issued and based on historical accounts

We will be recreating the advance of the Iron Brigade on September 17th, 1862 on Sunday morning.

Very preliminary guidelines:
Hardee Hat
Frock or Sack Coat
Sky Blue Pants
If you chose to wear gaiters they must be authentic pattern, construction and material. Few places sell correct gaiters. One place that does is Sekela.

Note: This is two weeks after the Perryville LH. Please make that event is your primary focus as that is what is on the ONV schedule. However, if you are unable to make that weekend work or can make both work I would love to see you at Antietam.
