At Fox Lake Tom Klas and I brought up an idea for an event that we are very excited about.

Let me sell:

Many of us have purchased the Kenosha uniform of gray frock, pants and cap. Others of us have confederate frock, pant and cap impressions and we can all find federal buttons so why not do a 2nd Wisconsin impression on the Mansassas battlefield in 2010.

Double dipping on uniforms; why not?

Dispite the fact that it is Acker's idea it has some merit.

Hard to wrap my brain around the idea of events in 2010.

I think this is a great idea.

Two things:

1. If you are portraying Union men you need to call the battle Bull Run.
2. What about those of us who do not have a grey frock and have no intention of buying a grey frock? Will you have another company there also? If not I guess I will enjoy looking at the pictures.

Once again this is a really great idea.
With Wilson's Creek in 2009 and Bull Run in 2010 we have two very good NPS sites.

Harrison, there's also the possibility of portraying the 1st Minnesota in honor of our other NW members. Same brigade, probably with blues, and NW soldiers.

I love the idea. It is an impression that you don't see often and the NPS would probably love to have. I'm in.

Having been to Stones River in '05 I know what a great job you all do at NPS Living Histories. Sounds like a very cool idea. Let me know what I can do to help.

I just had to throw this idea out to Steve and the rest of the Hard Heads a few weeks ago with all our work with the Park City Grays impression.

I am glad to see several are excited about the prospect of giving this a try.

Hi Lance,

A fine correction pard also made by Holler, but I think Steve was more worried about documenting the location of the National Battlefield Park this go around vs. what the Federals would have called the battle.

However so we avoid confusion, I will edit the title for future posts and good to hear from you Lance!
