I found this info on the website of the Buckeye Mess. I thought that this information would be good for many of us to go through. Lots of good info on midwestern farming. All of you farmers should know when you harrow your flax and what switchel is.

We had some darn fine switchel at Vicksburg, when suffering
from the heat - some would not drink it, but I found it
helped a lot.
