Uniform Regulation for the 1^st Georgia Sharpshooters

Jackets
1. Single Breasted Frock (Highly recommended)
2. Columbus Depot Jacket
3. Civilian Coat

4. Other deep south Depot Jacket (Atlanta, Milledgeville, Augusta, Mobile)

5. Georgia State Jacket (in approved numbers.)

Overcoats:

1. Confederate or Civilian Style overcoats will be allowed. NO FEDERAL OVERCOATS ALLOWED.

Trousers
1. CS Issue trousers
2. Civilian Pattern trousers

Shirt
1. CS issue shirt
2. Civilian pattern shirt

Shoes:
1. Confederate issue.
2. English Import Shoes

3. Civilian shoes or boots
4. Federal issue brogans, limited use.

Haversacks:
1. C. S. pattern.

2. English Import Haversack

Canteens:
1. Wooden type.
2. Tin Drum. Various sizes and styles, try to find a common identified type.

3. Federal Smooth Side with cloth strap (jean wool, proper dark blue kersey, proper light blue kersey and blanket remnant covers are accepted.  This should only be a last resort choice)

Knapsacks:
1. Bed Roll

2. Imported English. (Isaac Campbell and Co. maker)
3. Mexican War Pattern

4. Confederate issue/manufacture of any of above styles.

Ground Cloths:

1. Painted/tarred canvas

2. Oil Cloth

3. Federal Rubberized Ground cloth

Blankets:

1. English Imports

2. Civilian Carpet

3. Civilian Blanket

4. Federal Issue (only accepted as a last resort, please find a proper CS blanket for this event)

Cartridge boxes:
1. Imported English Box

2. Any A.O.T. identified box
3. Tarred canvas box, with or without sling

Cap pouches:
1. English Enfield pouch

2. Any A.O.T. identified pouch.
3. Tarred canvas A.O.T. pouch.

Waist belt:
1. English Snake Buckle Belt

2. Frame type, rectangular CSA, clipped corner CS, forked tongue, roller buckle and Georgia Frame are all common.
3. Tarred canvas with above plates
4. Copper CS Egg Pattern belt

Weapons:

1. 1853 Enfield rifled-musket

2. 1861 Springfield rifled-musket

3. 1842 Model Springfield musket

4. No Musket at all.??? (Contact your Company Commander for approval)

Shelter:

1. No Tent Flies or Shelter halves will be allowed.  Shelter will be provided by the event organizers.
